Modern Ukrainian society is faced with the main problem of recent times – the catastrophic lack of available square meters of residential real estate.
The issue of this issue should be addressed directly at the state level. Another attempt by the Ukrainian government to solve the problem of affordable square meters for the population is the introduction of the practice of providing residential rental real estate with the right to its subsequent purchase. If we consider as a whole the situation that has developed on the territory of Ukraine, then in turn, about 800 thousand of our compatriots want to receive housing from the state. Now the situation is very much reminiscent of Soviet times, when you had to stand in line for housing for more than 10 years.
At the same time, everyone who wants to get an apartment from the state on a free basis should part with this thought once and for all. The practice of providing free housing in our time will only be exceptional. The issue of housing can be partially resolved by state forces by implementing the same program of rental housing with the right to its subsequent redemption.
This practice is actively and widely used in European countries. It has become widespread because rent from the state is somewhat cheaper compared to renting residential property from the same private owner. Huge hopes in the context of this issue are placed directly on investment from China. First of all, this is about 15 billion dollars, through which over the next 5 years it is planned to build about 40 thousand new apartments. The main focus of the government is on those facilities that, due to certain circumstances, were never built.
