Autonomous heating of a country house

Almost always, the heating systems of country houses / cottages are designed based on the presence / absence of the possibility of connecting to a gas main, which in general is not surprising, since even despite the regular increase in the consumer price of natural gas for the population, autonomous heating with gas boilers remains the most economical in terms of costs on energy carriers and the most comfortable in operation. Moreover, taking into account the fact a posteriori that any increase in consumer prices for natural gas uncompromisingly entails an increase in prices for other energy carriers, we can safely predict the leadership of systems with gas boilers in terms of efficiency in both the short and long term.

In the absence of a real technical ability to connect to the gas farm, the heating system of a country house/cottage can be based on solid fuel, liquid -fuel or electric hotel boilers, depending on the availability of a particular type of fuel, requirements for the comfort of operation and financial capabilities of the owner, since:

Electric boilers “without noise and smell” can be installed in any room of the house, are fully automated and safe in the latest models, but at the cost of a square meter, heating with electricity belongs to the most expensive;

Energy heating inexpensively inexpensive in energy costs requires not only the installation of a hot water boiler in a separate room, but also equipment of a capacious room for storing reserve fuel supply for the heating period;

wood-burning boilers, wood chip and pellet boilers are practically similar in terms of limited operating comfort and the need for a storage room for fuel storage, moreover, pellet boilers with an automatic fuel supply and ash pan cleaning mechanism at a consumer price and the cost of professional maintenance today are not inferior to expensive condensing gas boilers boilers;

efficient in terms of calorific value of a liter of fuel burned, diesel hot-water boilers and mining boilers differ significantly in the purchase price of an energy carrier – diesel fuel costs 5-6 times more than waste oils of similar calorific value, although maintenance of a diesel boiler is simpler than a mining boiler.

Permanently operated and guarded country houses in cottage settlements are in some cases equipped with heat pumps, usually geothermal ones with heat intake for the primary circuit from heat exchanger fields or deep wells, but such systems for start-up investments are available only to an extremely limited number of Russians. In country houses of seasonal operation, waste oil stoves with gasification burners can be used to heat the air of the room / rooms in the event of a temporary arrival of the owners in the cold season.
